The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its final national poll of the 2009 season, citing Buffalo State as the No. 25-ranked team in the nation.
Buffalo State ended the season with a school record 33 victories, compared to just 14 losses. After capturing the school’s fourth SUNYAC Championship, and first since 2000, the Bengals advanced to the regional championship game. Buffalo State came within a single game of advancing to the College World Series for the first time in school history.
