Sandy Hollander was named ECAC Upstate Softball Coach of the Year

Buffalo State head coach Sandra Hollander was named the ECAC Upstate Division III Softball Coach of the Year after leading the Bengals to a conference title and national top-25 ranking.
Hollander, also recognized as the SUNYAC Co-Coach of the Year, led her Bengals to a school record 33 victories, compared to just 14 losses. After capturing the school’s fourth SUNYAC Championship, and first since 2000, the Bengals advanced to the regional championship game. Buffalo State came within a single game of advancing to the College World Series for the first time in school history.
Hollander also became just the 23rd softball coach in Division III history to win 500 career games, running her overall record to 516-295-2 in 21 years.
