MONTCLAIR, N.J.--Buffalo State senior #Nicole Sabuda# (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) was named Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III first team All-America as a utility player. The announcement was made last night at the national championship banquet at Montclair State University.

Softball Tops Penn State Behrend to Open NCAA Regional

ITHACA, NY—#Nicole Maher# (Waterloo/Waterloo) went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two runs scored to lead Buffalo State (30-12) to a 5-2 victory over Penn State Behrend (33-7) in an NCAA Regional game today at Kostrinsky Field at Ithaca College. The win was the first NCAA playoff win for Buffalo State since 1996.

Softball Lands Four on All-SUNYAC Team; Hollander, Sabuda Tabbed with Top Honors

Four Buffalo State softball players were selected to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Conference team, including #Nicole Sabuda# (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) who was named conference Co-Player of the Year. In addition, Sandra Hollander was named Co-Coach of the Year, earning the honor for the second-consecutive year and the fourth time overall.

Women's Basketball

The freshman dietetics and nutrition major earned the honor for the second time this season. McElroy averaged 19.0 points and 9.3 rebounds in a three-game week, including netting a career-high 24 points against Potsdam. She also had 20 points and 12 boards in a win over Plattsburgh.
