Men’s Basketball Falls to Division I Buffalo, 111-59

Box Score BUFFALO, NY—The University at Buffalo (8-4) cruised to a 111-59 win over visiting Buffalo State in a non-conference game tonight at Alumni Arena.

Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) was the only Bengal in double figures as he finished with 13 points.  Justin Mitchell (Buffalo/Bishop Timon-St. Jude) scored nine, while Nico McLean (Amherst/Amherst) and Roderick Epps (Uniondale/Uniondale) had eight apiece.

The Bulls jumped out to an early lead and held a 51-27 advantage at halftime.  The Bengals shot just 32.4-percent from the field, compared to 48.1-percent by UB and were outrebounded by the Bulls, 68-32.

Buffalo State returns to conference play Monday when it hosts Fredonia at 8 p.m.
