Buffalo State's 2012 football schedule has been set with the Bengals playing a slate of conference games as members of the Empire 8 for the first time and three non-conference games against a pair of traditional rivals and one against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
The Bengals will open the season at home on Sept. 1 with a non-conference game against Cortland. Week 2 features a non-conference road game at Brockport, before Buffalo State will travel to face Whitewater on Sept. 15. The Warhawks have captured four of the past five Division III championships and have made seven-consecutive trips to the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.
The Bengals final seven games will be against Empire 8 opponents, including three-consecutive home games against Alfred, Salisbury and Utica. After road contests at Ithaca and Frostburg, Buffalo State will host Hartwick on Oct. 27, before wrapping up the regular season the following Saturday at St. John Fisher.
