Melissa Smith (N. Tonawanda/Niagara Wheatfield) scored her fourth goal of the season and Buffalo State tied host Union, 1-1, this afternoon in a non-conference contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Smith opened the scoring with her fourth goal of the season heading home a cross from Catherine Mammoser (Lackawanna/Eden) in the 21st minute.
- Union evened the score just under 10 minutes later, however, and neither team would find the back of the net the rest of the way.
- Buffalo State held a 13-6 advantage in shot and had the only two shot attempts of the overtime periods.
- Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) made three saves for Buffalo State.
FOR THE FOES
- Marika Contompasis scored for Union with an assist from Morgan Dominick.
- Kelsey Hartsoe finished with six saves.
