GENESEO, N.Y.—No. 6 Geneseo scored twice in less than three minutes midway through the second period and added a late insurance marker in a 3-0 victory over visiting No. 12 Buffalo State tonight in a SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless opening period, Geneseo controlled much of the second period, outshooting the Bengals, 13-5, and netting a pair of goals in a span of just 2:50.
- The Bengals were the aggressors in the final period, firing 14 shots on goal, but could not break through, and the Knights ice the game converting on a late odd-man rush.
- Geneseo finished with a 32-26 edge in shots on goal.
- The Bengals were unable to convert on five power play chances. Buffalo State has failed to convert on its last 15 extra-man opportunities.
