HOW IT HAPPENED
- Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) led Buffalo State with 14 points.
- Princella McCullough (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) was the only other Bengal scorer in double-figures with 12 points.
- New Paltz led 16-13 after the first quarter and pulled away, netting 54 points over the next two quarters to put the game out of reach.
- The Hawks netted 37 points off of Buffalo State turnovers and shot 49 percent from the field for the game. They also hit 12 3-pointers, outscoring Buffalo State 36-12 from beyond the arc.
FOR THE FOES
- Kit Small led New Paltz with 20 points and six rebounds.
- Sandi Harris added 15 points, and Lindsay Bettke scored 13.
